Programming: BMW conclusion on Golf Channel 10AM ET Monday

BMW Championship
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Rain Sunday means televised golf on Monday.

With moderate but consistent rain leaving 22 players unable to begin their final round Sunday at the BMW Championship, tournament officials were forced to suspend play for the day at 5 p.m. ET after an earlier delay of 3 1/2 hours.

With play now set to resume at 9 a.m. ET Monday, Golf Channel will broadcast a bulk of the final round from Conway Farms live, beginning at 10 a.m. ET and continuing until the conclusion of play. The final pairing of the day, Steve Stricker and 54-hole leader Jim Furyk, will now tee off at 10:40 a.m. ET.

According to PGA Tour rules official Slugger White, the forecast called for no more than one-half inch of rain Sunday, spread across a six-hour period. Instead, the course outside Chicago was saturated with more than an inch of rain, rendering conditions unplayable.

“We did everything we possibly could to try to get this thing in,” noted White. “It just wasn’t going to happen, unfortunately.”

This event marks the third Monday finish on the PGA Tour this year, as the completions of both the Farmers Insurance Open and the Arnold Palmer Invitational were bumped a day due to inclement weather. Both of those events were won by Tiger Woods, who will begin the fourth round four shots off the lead.

Prior to live final-round coverage of the BMW, "Morning Drive" will begin the day at 7 a.m. ET with all the up-to-the-minute news from the BMW, and will air for three hours until the live tournament coverage begins at 10.

Fans unable to watch on television will be able to watch a live stream online ator can download Golf Channel’s Golf Live Extra app from their mobile devices.
