Monday starting times: Woods, 10:20; Furyk, 10:40

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – With driving rains forcing a lengthy delay – and ultimately a suspension of play – at the BMW Championship, only six players were able to complete their final rounds amid soggy conditions at Conway Farms Golf Club.

While most of the field was able to play at least some golf Sunday, the players closest to the lead didn’t put a single ball in play. Twenty-two golfers failed to begin their final round, and will now start back up beginning at 9 a.m. ET Monday.

As a result of the various delays, the day’s final pairing of Steve Stricker and overnight leader Jim Furyk will now tee off at 10:40 a.m. ET Monday. Brandt Snedeker and Zach Johnson, who trail Furyk by two and three shots, respectively, will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET, while world No. 1 Tiger Woods will play alongside Charl Schwartzel in the 10:20 a.m. ET pairing.

The postponement could bode well for Woods, who has claimed each of the Tour’s previous two events this year that were pushed to a Monday finish because of weather – the Farmers Insurance Open in January and the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He heads into the final round four shots behind Jim Furyk.

Other marquee groups that will begin the final round Monday morning include current FedEx Cup points leader Henrik Stenson and John Merrick (9:10 a.m. ET), Sergio Garcia and Jason Day (9:40 a.m. ET), and Matt Jones alongside Conway Farms member Luke Donald (9:50 a.m. ET).
